"Life can take unexpected turns when your chasing the dream of playing professional soccer. Growing up in New Jersey and playing was the greatest experience. The competition in the US for female players is sometimes harder than the male competition. Majority of colleges is the states have a women soccer teams, because the high volume of female players growing up in the states. The national team is the best in the world so the competition is steep. I found myself falling behind a lot of players after high school. I attended junior college at Mercer but I knew that was not where I needed to be to achieve my goals. I signed up with Future Stars and never looked back. Now I am performing against top level players at a Division 2 University. This gave me the perfect route to become the best player I can be." - Sarah Ghaffoor
